Ever so well done and thank you for doing this Ian.

I overheard members of Olly's family at the reception later on and they were overwhelmed by the support and respect given to them and Olly by all the bike riders, it was of great comfort to them all seeing us all there on our bikes for Olly.

Cheers Wacky.

I thought the service was very touching.

I was proud to be a small part of it.

My heart-felt sympathies go to the all of Olly's family.

Its the least i could have done after so many other fellow riders/mates/people done their bit to help Jane + family, who were all great to chat with and have a laugh at the pub

A truly memorable day and a great sendoff for Olly

We had three riders blown off their bikes as we exposed ourselves to the sea at Budleigh, on our way to Exmouth from Newton Pop.
The waves were scary big and the wind pushing hard from the sea made it really difficult to get going again without being flattened.
Then the rain on the way back from the service to the Puffing Billy was truly biblical. The amount of water on the pub floor was impressive too (-;
Reports of the main roads being impassable to Exmouth and Woodbury got me all edgy and wanting to get out there on my bike.
We were not disappointed and were given the chance to ride through water over a foot deep on the raised footpath beside the road to Woodbury.
We got a cheery wave from the rather damp looking Plod who was there to point out the obvious to those who thought someone might recover the two drowned vehicles stopping even the intrepid 4WD's from trying to get through.

After that it all got a bit tame as the deepest we rode through was less than 6" but there was plenty of it.

Finally got to see it, thanks Ian.

I wanted to follow as close as I could to the lead vehicles so didn't get the 'feel' of all 50 bikes in the procession.

I've followed Olly many times on the lanes, this was my last chance to 'follow the bear' one last time.

Been sat here trying to write something for ages - I hope this comment is taken in the way its intended given the reason we did that ride -  I know what I'm trying to say even If I'm not good at getting it down in text.

Would any of us 'Normally' have gone for a ride that day?

No, I doubt it....

Did I have a ride to remember?

Yes biggrin

Did I see some friends I hadn't seen for a long time?

Yes smile

Did I take the short route home?

No biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Did I have lots of fun getting back?

Yes wink

Thanks Olly - because  you reminded me why we ride..........friends, freedom and adventure smile
