Hi all, sorry its car not bike so feel free to move to diff forum, wife has lost her code for the radio, not sure why as just went in as usual turned the radio on and wants a code (not messed with battery or left for ages or anything out of the ordinary)
Its an old ford galaxy series 2? (2002) Not sure what numbers are required or best place to take it without getting ripped for 5 mins work, advice or experience welcome
Thanks guys, where might I find the serial number ( nothing obvious when I looked prior to posting) I got the car of a friend who doesnt do paperwork and he doesnt have anything to offer me, and it was litterally the new owner doc (I knew the car and all the work he had done but uber rubbish and keeping useful info) tia
the serial number of the radio unit itself, you will have to pop it out and it will be engraved or on a sticker on the body ,if you have no luck with the app you will have to go to the dealer with this serial number and the logbook, but they will charge for the service,
sometimes the dealer where the vehicle was sold from will have it on record and might not charge you????
The Renault radio code app you simply scan the barcode and it gives you the serial number! Put that in and job done so hardly worth having the pin code in the first place as its that easy.
Same thing happened to my dads focus , took the unit out and serial no. Was on a sticker and there is someone on eBay that you send your serial no. To and they send you a message with your code , I think it was about £2. Which I thought was pretty good, hope this helps
If you remove the radio and find its serial no, telephone me at work(01297 552776)we have a contact at Ford who will get us the code. Anything for a fellow TRF member.

Thanks hoops, just reminded his wife about them, and they are only 5min away but appreciate everyones offers. I'm borrowing the wifes car on saturday to pop over to winchester to pick up another push bike (and a working stereo would be cool)
Big thanks to all those who chipped in and made great offers, 5 mins with the prongs and stereo popped out, not the original but thankfully someone put the code on top so now works a treat (number now kept safe) so all I need is to unstick one of the universal prongs and were laughing.
Love this forum.
