This is not suitable for novices. The ford is very deep ( up to the handlebars as some have found out cry ) There used to be a way around by going through the adjacent field and crossing at a shallower point but the gates were padlocked last week.

There are some kind of stepping stones which you can ride if you have big enough balls (and skill) or manhandle the bike across.

This would be VERY character building for novices wink

I normally ride the stones but I am taking a couple of newish riders there soon and I don't think they will manage the stones I was hoping the river was ok

Was still washed out, over 4' deep so stones is the only option until the farmer fills it in later in the spring.

I took my TTR250 group over the stepping stones on the 2015 A2E - good bravery test - looks harder than it really is just make sure you start straight coz if not....disbelief
