The 1st trial will be held at Preston Combe, near Moreleigh starting at 11.00am. That's about a mile from Wheeldon.
There will be a route for trail bikes and the sections will be easy for trail bikes. The recent practice day gave us an indication of the level of section severity which would be acceptable and rideable by trail riders. It will be MUCH EASIER than the sections we laid out on practice day.
The venue is in a wonderful woodland with a rocky stream running through it and will give a good ride between sections.
Don't forget this event will form part of the aggregate series so make all the points count !
It is run under ACU regulations so riders will need to be registered with the ACU, which could be done on the day if not already registered.

Just to continue on from Deci's post, The course plotters have been out preparing for this event and I can confirm that we have made a big effort to ensure that the sections are TRAIL bike friendly , The plan at the moment is that one of our more experieced riders will assist you on the first lap to get you in the swing of things and also provide some top tips !. The entry fee will be £20 which includes membership to our club . Please come along and support , and as a few of us are TRF members we feel this is a good way for us to give something back to the TRF.
We have just marked out the trial this morning and I have to say that it will be a cracking event ! The venue is a wonderful large expanse of woodland with a stream and slopes.
The trail bike route has been set out so that it represents something you would find on a green road anywhere in the county (without the really hard technical stuff) It is all "cleanable".
The sections are much easier than those at my trials practice day a few weeks ago without tight turns, etc. and nothing dangerous.
The riding between the sections will be great fun too with a big loop of about 1.5 miles.
The club have decided not to insist upon trials rear tyres and as it is all on private land your bikes need not be road legal SO there is no reason not to come along and have some fun.
the car park is virtually opposite the western end of 202-204
See you there !

It was a very successful day overall but only three trail bikes which was a disappointment after the effort that had been put in to make a trail bike friendly route. The total marks lost for the trail bikes varied between 5 and 19 and that's over three laps of 10 sections ! There was only one TRF member in the three and he was a member of the club! Unfortunately I was unable to ride as we needed observers.
Is it worth the club making the effort for trail bikes in the future, please have your say..........
