Courier to collect an engine from Doncaster?

I have a CRM 250 motor waiting for me to collect it from Doncaster.

Before I drive to the other end of the country

can anyone recommend a courier or similar to collect it for me?

https://www.shiply.com/ are usually quite good as they combine loads to make their quotes competitive.

If you are prepared to spend around the £100 mark then I have a dedicated motorcycle courier I use - Costello Transport.  http://www.uship.com/uk/profile/motorbikes2u/

Quotes ranged from £73 to £109. Fair prices for that distance.

Luckily for me the seller is working in Cardiff next week so I will be able to go and pick it up myself for a lot less.

Yeah it was the noise that pushed me into it. Surprising how well it runs considering the decibel output from the mechanical cacophony.

The first motor lasted 28k.
The second 26k. Top and bottom end are good with new bearings and Teflon coated Honda piston but the balance shaft is shafted.
The third motor mileage is unknown, no scores on piston, good compression. Bit of a gamble, but hopefully the new motor has a straight gear change shaft, no loose rivets on the clutch basket pinion, and if I'm really lucky no mechanical gremlins lurking in the balance shaft area. Got good spares for the rest.

Shakedown run some way off yet but looking forward to it already.

How much to get into Wales?

Do both bridges cost the same?
