1971-72 T120R OIF Petrol Tank

Bit of a long shot but thought I'd try smile

I'm looking for a petrol tank for a early 1970's oil in frame 650 twin, if anyone has one or knows of one please let me know. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Cheers John

Oh - have you a project underway?

I'm excited, got any pics?

Will keep my eyes open - I recently supplied Doug with an old sporty tank for his last project as I like seeing stuff on the road rather than rotting in a shed

Here it is all installed where it belongs, not in a museum.

Don't know if you remember but that tank was covered in hand painted Roses when it was first fitted to my old sporty

Not by me I hasten to add!!!!

Back on topic - does it matter on the shape of the T120 tank - or just one that fits?

This isn't for a project Jon (although I've one underway I will post up sometime smile) I was seriously considering getting one of the new Triumph T120's but as much as I like them...it just doesn't do it for me... stuff like dummy carbs confuse

I've had a search on ebay  for a while for a T120V and have got hold of this, a late 1974 one that only needs a few things doing to get it back on the road again.

These old 650 engines are a thing of beauty to me smilesmilesmile

I'd like to get hold of a 71/72 tank as they are like a larger version of the export tank fitted from 74 onwards and should fit straight on and look right biggrin

This chap in Ivybridge might be worth a call.  Really friendly but I've only seen his place open a couple of times in passing.

Some very useful links there and much appreciated, one of them's looking hopeful and it's not the deep pocket option smilesmilesmile
