Was that you today - North Bovey (red bike)

Has a great and hilly mountain bike ride today - a loop from North Bovey.

We rode a challenging 191-068 where we were past by a youngish lad on a 4T newish Honda - riding at a very sedate and sensible pace. He smiled but didn't stop to chat and was alone. Was that anyone from here?

We also rode part of -073 before peeling off on an awesome bridleway across the moors and down into a forestry plantation. Finished route on -069 but didn't cross ford. It was low enough for sure, but didn't want that much water getting into my bottom bracket.

Girlfriend hated the very hilly start of the ride (including -068) but loved it once we were about half way into the ride.

It is well worth the effort of the climb to get over Easdon hill for the long descent ending in the plantation near Luckdon, but it can be difficult to follow when the bracken gets high. I have never met anyone else using the bridleway.
