Do you mean a standard WRF switch, which only does dip /main, ie on all the time?
Or, do you want to turn the headlight off during daylight?
If the latter then just disconnecting the headlight will cause the engine to misfire horribly.
If Im not teaching you to suck eggs, the headlight 12v load is used to regulate the spark voltage, without it you get wildly varying voltages if left to its own devices.
You would need a simple 100 ohm resistor to effectively replace the headlight, so, Hlight switch "off" sends power through the resistor, headlight switch "on" is the normal on.
Some people use an LED tucked away to the same effect.
It took me a year to find that out with my 08 WRF, not running headlights for racing.
My 03 didnt suffer with such hassle.
Cms do KTM style generic switches for £20 , I put one on my gas gas after smashing it to pieces (gas gas wanted £80) ... Just need to figure our the wiring , it's not too difficult
Adam gonna place an order with oro in the next few days, for some bits for a couple of the guys., would this be any good or modable for yours? Not the price you would pay mate :)
