Bank Holiday Monday evening ride

Billy no mates again!! but think I am beginning to like it like thatsmile

Left Ivybridge at 5 and returned at 9 did the lanes at South brent and Buckfast then crossed over to the Totnes side of the A38 and stayed on that side till Trago mills then up to Bovey tracy and Liverton then up to Manaton and across the Moors to Widecombe then down to Holne and back to Buckfastlliegh and home 70 miles in total most of it in beautiful sunshine.

No alcoholic beverges were consumed during this rideout.

I hope the guys replacing the cables on these pylons are getting well paid for being up there in that cradle. SOD THAT!!

Nice evening ride. Its amazing the work they are doing on the national grid at the moment - replacing all the cables and each pylons insulators. 40 year duty cycle I believe, so at least a job you know you only have to do once in your working career (or perhaps not the way this country and pensions are going..................)

It is very pleasant out there at the moment. The bluebells put on a good show this year.
Know what you mean about riding alone. It does enable you to stop to take lots of pics.
Nice new bench, I will use it next time I pass that way.

Blimey , all that and pics in 3 hours !!!

Devon is looking fabulous at the moment and there's a lot to be said for riding alone; stop where you like in odd places, ride at your own pace, etc, etc. You also have to take responsibility for your actions if it all goes pear shaped hmmhmmhmm wink
