out of curiosity were these packs lost when the aluminium hooks slipped off on the lanes?

I used to use a kreiga myself but stopped because i didn't trust those damn hooks, shame as the quality is top notch otherwise

 Easily solved cut two bands out of old inner tubes and slip over front mudguard and fender pack , never loose one again

They make great bands and can be used for a multitude  of things for trail riding etc

Used a Kriega on a weekender in Wales

kept gear dry, and stayed put, also was a great "butt" stop

on some of the steeper ascents. Highly recommended.

Strap them down tight, with the hooks in the right direction

to be fair to it, i never had it fall off but a hook came free once or twice which made me worry
