It's been a while...

After dusting the cobwebs out of the gear last week, I managed to get a leave pass again for today, bloody awesome lanes at the moment!

3 of us left Raymonds hill and headed west, bypassing the washed out 193-012, we started by going up Doug's lane, aka 192-054, very different to last weekend, loads of sticky stuff to slide through, and land on for one rider...biggrinbiggrinbiggrin At the top, we discovered someone hadn't retightened their nuts, as a fork was sticking up 2" out of the yoke! Good ole KTM tools to the rescue, and the CRF started to handle a bit better, aparrently.confuse

Heading towards 261 & 335, I sent the XR and the CRF up 053, and looped round to meet them at the top, think the 690 might be a bit big for 053! Heading North we rolled through 041, 042, 044 (is 192-310 closed permantly as Road Closed sign is up, but TRO notice is dated 2012!) Through Yarty aka 046 and under the fallen tree ( 12" diameter for the tree fairy's, 4x4 access best from the northern end). Northward bound still, we ventured throught the fields of 005, then down and up 006 cos we can, then 021, 004, 030 and down the loose rocks on 031, getting tricky on the descent on this one now smile

024 very overgrown, but a great bank still on exit, then through Stockland, and 029 and 040 before heading towards 013. River crissing not too deep, did the loop of 013. 238, 009, down 010 which was slippery, with Mr Unhappy at the bottom, he got a wave from me and a laugh as he glared on.evileye, then onto 226 and back through 238 and 013 again. Lots of hedge cuttings stuck in the bikes from 010, so a quick sort out and a friendly chat with Mr TTR and co.

South to 228, 280 227, 051 CRF Badger, again, biggrin, then down to 052, then up 057, where the dumpy bags have made this lane pretty bloody good again, was cloud spotting at speed for some distance, before the heat shield bolt loosened out, (reminder, KTM = Keep Tightening Me). Up the main road and into 063, then down Rock Lane into 065, still nice and slippy this one. 066 into my Northleigh Playground loop.wink Down 071, down 072, up 235 ( this is getting to be good againsmile), along 077, then down 083 (better uphill but never mind), then back along 084, up 085 &071, and down into 072, the, for the first time ever, Blind Lane!smile, the down and into 088 and up 087, back down 085, along the effleunt lane of 086, and into the bike wash of 094. Time was pressing on, the CRF had been lain flat 3 times already, so the XR pilot and he swapped, just incase it was the bike at fault...wink

Pushed on up through the woods on 098, then round to tackle the slippiness of 099, which kind of spits you out on the road again, then into 089, where I cross rutted, and failed to recover, apparently I cartwheel quite well...

Up the infamous 079, really trickey with the logs and branches lying everywhere, then round to Shute woods, finishing with a blast up 074 and cheeky little 068, just incase the NIMBY who lives there had forgotton what bikes sound like.wink

As I said, cracking day in the dirt, now to plan next weeks little excursion...

Me included, but I did make time today to write up my last ride because your report reminded me to get on with it.
