As Pete and others have set the run report bar very high recently, I thought I would have a go. After 34 years or riding, my wife Libby has finally decided to have a go at laning with me(I think she felt sorry for me now Grommett has gone to Uni).
We recently purchased an XT225 and she already considers it 'her bike' I have to ask if I can change stuff on it. After a couple of sighting runs on the roads around here to get her eye in, last Saturday we set of for some proper stuff.
We left from home and did
192212
192206
192205
192231
192277
192202
192215
192216
191078
191077 both ways and there is a tree down, can squeeze past
191072
Then we had a cuppa and some cake by the reservoir, and made our way back down some of the same lanes to home. It was great to share what I have been experiencing for years with her and to watch the skills develop. We did loads of daft stuff as youngsters and this is just like being back there.
So guys, if you can, get your misses to come out some times. If she can already ride a bike great, but it would be even better if she learnt.
Benefits are;
free pass outs
understanding why a 'quick ride out' takes 3 hours
Hi Trevor and Libby, great to see pics and write up of your run out together, well done Libby for giving it a go, I'm sure there's many happy times ahead. Look forward to seeing you both in east Devon sometime.
