Thanks to those special people for turning up last evening

First joint clearing from Sid P3 + DTRF

Requested from County PRoW and local Sidmouth councillors after huge complaints received from locals about overgrown cycle way

we took all by surprise on how quick the response was, 27hrs from the call

Completion only took one hour, three hedge cutters (including DTRF's special tool) three brush cutters, two blowers + 7 people form both camps wink

Special thanks form me smile

Correct still a UCR' with everything else able to travel/use the right of way (same as it ever was really) now its signed as a cycle way/shared path/walking, nothing about engined machines which will only see a conflict in the future/present

I enquired heavily at the P3 meeting in sidmouth before the route was installed about the legal side of it being a UCR' Sustrans simply just lay their cycle routes on top of the status, did you know there were metal staggered gates erected at the lower end to stop speeding cyclist no

They were removed within 24hours thanks to the vigilant local who happens to be on the volunteer list of P3

Thanks again to those who helped smile

Just checking, the last time I stopped at the lower end I was incorrectly informed by the lady who lives opposite that it had become a footpath only, I did at the time correct her but she was having none of it.

Yes,she popped out and had a go at you for moving the signage, which was blocking the Ucr...

the rest of us just waited till you had corrected her...
