Do you mean the White Helmets? If so, there were a few clips included in Henry Cole's recent programme on the history of Triumph and my recollection is that Les Harris (Newton Abbot) kept making special Triumph T140s for the Army team long after production for the general public had ceased.

Do a bit of Googling e.g. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-42011143

So not the White Helmets display team hmm

You aren't giving much away - spill the beans and we might be able to help wink

PS The IMPS use Hondas. What other display teams are there?

The Purple Helmets ride Hondas but I suspect they're not the display team you had in mind

Incidentally, I once had the honour of riding in formation with the Purple Helmets all the way from Douglas to Peel on the IOM.

Cheers,

John

Royal Artillery had a bike display team, not sure when they disbanded though.

The White Helmets were Royal Signals.

I'm petty sure one of our members, Alan from Ivybridge, was a "white helmet". Perhaps he'll be on here in due course ???  He rides an XR for sure.

Sorry Doug cry

Not being a military man I had no idea that the Corps, Royal Artillery and the Royal Signals are all same unit - if that is what you meant confuse

Not really, the White Helmets (Royal Signals). Flying Gunners (Royal Artillery)

Ah - now you say "Flying Gunners" I can find them - see https://www.arrse.co.uk/community/threads/flying-gunners-to-disband-2009.116990/

Doesn't sound like they were very pleased to be shut down and the White Helmets kept going back in the day cry

Haven't read it all but a quick look at the photos show that, in their latter days, they used a range of Japanese machinery.
