I have just taken out insurance for my bikes with Carole Nash for the first time now that the eBike multi-bike multi-rider policy is no longer available
In with the paperwork is a "Valuation Form" to use if I wish "to request an agreed value".
My BSA A10 is the only bike that is of significant value that I might possibly have an issue with if making a claim.
Has anyone gone through the "Agreed Value" process and can say if it is worth the candle bearing in mind you have to take and print photos to send them?
What would they pay out if no agreed value I wonder?
Have it on the Harley panhead Brian it tossed back and forward over a month with me saying 18k them saying 10k and in the end I got the 18k mark after showing them a engine and gear box would cost that I have 5 bikes with them been with them for a good 7-8 years now they are just as bad as the rest the renew came through this year a jump of £100 pound in cost. So I did a online quote it came back £100 cheaper with them than I was paying before they did the plus £100 new year price. so I called them only to be given a load of crap about the online price needing this and that added to it then giving me the same price I was paying for the current year right bunch of knob's they are. So I then said I was not using the xr 250 so could I take it off for the year thinking I could save a bob or two on that as well only to be told it would be the same price with that one off. so I just had two say I had a 2nd xr 250 I would like to put on if it made no difference to the cost of things all went quite for near a minute on the phone he could not answer so I took the £100 saving I wont go back next march Martyn

Not with Carole Nash, but I've got my Landie on agreed value with Adrian Flux and have had a couple of other classic cars agreed value with them as well - one of which I needed to make a claim on and it would have been written off without the agreed valuation. I've always found them to be easy to deal with.
I've currently got my BSA agreed value on a Classic Motorcycle policy with Footman James. Everything, including pictures, was done on-line (not printed) and was hassle free.
As to what they'd pay if you didn't have agreed value, the answer probably lies somewhere between 'book value' and 'peanuts'.
My answer would be - yes, it is definitely worth doing.
Got my Harley with them was quite straight fallward considering the bike. just photos of each side and a discription of what it is as it is a complete custom with the.only original bit being part of the frame
