Just reporting on the forum is great 231 has another one down further up, I think the one you show on your picture on 207 has been down for a bit, there is a well trodden route round it I think
I'll get up there and walk 231 on Thursday so we know what we're dealing with then report back. Pretty sure you won't get round it or shove it to one side.

Went up this morning to have a look, both trees will require a special tool to remove. Probably not that much of a job for a couple of blokes. Maybee an hours effort. The field adjoining the lane is a paddock so the owner will have access to clear up whatever falls their way.
The previously concealed entrance at the bottom end is now sporting a pull in and a gate.
There is is a fair bit of evidence that several people have gone down it and turned around, horses and bikes.
Yes a big thank you and well done guys. Sorry I was due to marshal at a moto cross meeting. But it was cancelled
because of water logged car parking .I will be there next time hopefully.

I had already guessed you were busy John as your always there to sort a tree like a shot
Are the TRF lanes numbers unique or grid references?
The lane numbers are unique to the Devon Group.
When the groups records were created they chose to record the lane numbers by Ordnance Survey Landranger map sheet numbers, 191, 192, 193, 201, 202 etc, then starting at the top left corner 001, and working their way down and across the map, to make an individual record of all of them. Over time newly discovered lanes were also added, hence the numbering system can look ad-hoc in some areas
.
It is unlike John L not to respond to a request from a member promptly.
