Thought a little bimble was in order today, great ride out until my leg lost against a rock sticking out of the hedge. Was wearing adventure boots with knee guards, so glad they did their job!

Ouch that looks painful . I gave up with the Adv Boots for green laning after breaking my foot so went to the Sidi Crossfires which offer much better protection. I bet you are glad you had knee guards which when you needed them did there job.

 Yep, bloody Honda!

Thinking about ordering a new 690 soon, will give you first refusal on your old beat Doug.

Thanks, bought a new one in 2015, sold in 2018, and regretted it ever since.

Waiting for the 15% discount to come back through the dealers.

The new 690 runs on no oil pressure when hot , being old school couldn't quite get that in my head ,i covered just under 5000 mls loved the bike but the rattle times were getting longer and longer, i took it back to the dealer several times and was told there all the same When i asked why is there a 5 bar pressure relief valve fitted then the man was stumped for words and said ktm say its ok , Having done more research i was not the only one not what i expected for a new bike in 2020 ,ready to race my arse ready to go bang would be more apt

rant over
