Teign to Tamar 2022, April 8-10 DATE CHANGE to 1st to 3rd April, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

The Teign to Tamar will go ahead next year on April the 8th to the 10th.

The legends that are John Heal and Kirstie, our treasurer have stepped up to volunteer and make it happen.

There is still a lot of things to sort out, and we will need help on the day but initially we will need volunteers to be run leaders.

If you can help the club by leading on one or both days in the first instance please pm me with your email and phone number.

In the past we have run easy, medium or full on days for people, depending on their ability/ requirements.  This will be the same format.  If you have a TEC in mind, then please let me know that too.

Breakfast will be provided on the day and you will be reinbursed for fuel .

Please save the date and join in what is always a great weekend.

If you are unsure of your ability to take out a group, don't be, there is plenty of time to practice a route between now and April plus who needs an excuse to get out on your bike.

The weekend will be centred around Parkers farm campsite Ashburton TQ13 7LJ

Trevor

Due to circumstances beyond our control the dates for this event are now 1st to the 3rd April i.e. The week before, I hope the kind offers of help will still be OK.

Please let me know if you can't do these dates

Hi Trevor,
I can be TEC for an easy or medium group on the Saturday (and possibly Sunday as well if the Haldon Heroic gets changed as it did in 2021).

On Sunday 10th, it is possible that the Haldon Herioc MTB/cyclocross event will be using some of the lanes in the Haldon/Ideford area and both event organisers need to be aware of the other event to avoid conflict.

Come on Trevor, you missed another chance to insist the MTB event use a certain lane at Little Haldon!

The Mega route on Sunday 10th is available here https://www.haldonheroic.co.uk/index.php/routes/cx-mega-route  they are using 192-250/196 Long Lane,

192- 275/274/205 Luton, 192-206 Three Tree Lane, 192-212 Ashwell, Bishopsteignton, 192-198 Towerhill, Ideford (and the footpath afterwards!) 192-289                  Ashcombe X.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure I do these on Saturday then.

I think I should be ok to lead I haven't really done any lanes over that way. But I very often lead groups. Either could be sent some gpx routes to try or try and make some but not knowing the them maybe hard to know what ones to include. I'm sure I could arrange for both days too. Failing that definitely one day. And if not I'm happy to Tec for a medium to hard group. Fabian

Are the groups being split into 'easy' 'moderate' and 'Russell' groups as usual this time?
