Inevitable

BUT

I saw them slow down respectfully when they met the chap with his dog off a lead in that field.

If there were more encounters with Joe public they would be dangerous I agree.

We've all been reckless at times, I'll bet.

Can't get link to work

Have now, looked quick, plus way of the track down the field.

It doesn't look good, if the rest of us are judged by this, we are in trouble.

They are in a minority I would hope, but as Cubber says the only people they met, they slowed down for.

Does anyone know who they are? Perhaps an education opportunity.

They did slow down for the walkers with the dog but being off piste doesnt help. My feeling is that one needs to ride expecting a walker, an equestrian or another bike may be coming around the next corner. Being respectful and accommodating to other lane users is as much as one can do, I guess

I'm not sure that video had the correct frame speed. In which case, I've seen worse.

Couldn't watch the video but there will always be peeps giving bikers a bad name.

Saw a group of 6 offroad bikes giving it large on the road and moorland between Cornwood and Lee moor last Sunday.

Not one of them displaying a number plate, unlikely that educating these chimps would help.

Apart from the off piste on the grass which they were not ripping up, cannot see any issues.

You are right about the frame speed Ray. Watched it twice and you can see where it has been sped up. Also the wide angle lens makes it look like you are going much faster than you actually are.

The off piste is probably caused by the fact that the farmer at some point has grubbed the hedge out to gain more grass. If they'd left the boundary hedge/fence then there would be no opportunity for off piste.

I agree with Doug. Nowt wrong with that video.

Im the first to admit, have had the odd blast.
But its the posting I have more of an issue with.
As some know, I enjoy stuff TET.
Most people who ride the TET are definitely bike savvy, just takes more committment than the avarage scumbag can muster.
Everyday, riders post "Look at me, Im the fastest, can get the most stuck, can cross the river the fastest, emergency call out to other riders / local people - Im stuck, need assistance - Ive got a puncture (I kid you not)"
Drone footage "Look at me, Im on the Paris Dakar". power sliding through a long drift (which I love), huge rooster etc
I have absolutely no issues with the "having the appropriate blast", those who know me etc.
There is also nothing we can do about it - Fact.
"Education" - Yeah, like that will ever have any effect. These are grown adults with the power of reason - exactly.
Id hoped the TET would be taken in the true spirit, its a priviledge to be allowed, foreign climes, culture, beautiful scenery and all the other b****x.
Luckily, vast majority understand this etc etc
Rant finished
Springs nearly here - wild camping beckons (take the odd shower in between!!)
Tee hee

I also totally agree with Doug's comment.

There was a (rather pointless) deviation from the track onto the grass but, other than that, absolutely nothing wrong with this.

I also agree with the previous comment by Jerry regarding posting; if people didn't post this stuff so freely, no-one could nit-pick and take exception to it.

Perhaps I've over reacted a bit but some of the posts on the TET public forum are really sad.
Boils my ****.
