When we originally announced the Teign to Tamar and asked for volunteers to lead groups, we offered to provide breakfast and to reimburse people for their fuel.
After since consulting with the TRF insurance experts, it has become apparent that if people accept money for their petrol, it could be deemed as a payment for their services. Unless you are covered for hire and reward on your insurance, the cover you have could be null and void.
To this end we have descided that we will have to withdraw the offer of reimbursement for fuel. The good news is you will still get breakfast.
Hopefully the kind offers of help we have had, will remain and we will still be able to run this fantastic weekend.

Fuel can be repaid with a valid receipt under the volunteers agreement running a charitable event - no profit, no different than getting fuel expenses for volunteering on lane clearing...
