Need some Dichlorolmethane - any supplier near Exeter please?

I paid an arm and a leg for a small pot of this stuff to dissolve the remnants of a Petseal liner on a fuel tank. Hardly got the inside of the tank wet let alone go about its intended businessevileye

I need a litre of the stuff but the courier cost for an online purchase is over £20 cry

Is there anywhere local to Exeter that might supply does anyone know please?

Brian

As it's used in paint stripping and prep I asked Scott as that's his background.

He said:

"Allparts will supply something that will work, they do some kick ass paint strippers that will go through a car bonnet to steel in minutes! Get him to ask for Chris the paint man he knows his stuff."

Allparts are on Marsh Barton.

Cheers,
John

Thanks John - will give that a go!

Dichloromethane (DCM or methylene chloride, methylene bichloride) was the active ingredient in paint strippers in days gone by but has been removed from most domestic products for safety reasons I guess. It explains why none of the ones I have bought in recent years work no

What little fluid I had seems to have done a remarkable job on the resin-based tank sealer used by a previous owner. However, I am sure it hasn't dissolved it all as it was only just enough to cover the bottom of the tank. The Golden Flash tank is quite chunky!
