I have a 96 ex-British Army Harley Davison MT350 which I sometimes use to marshall the four-wheel vehicle in Military Vehicle Trust convoys, etc, which is the same type of thing they were used for in service. Then, there was a specific stanchion-type arrangement on/attached to the rear rack on which a blue, wired-in beacon revolved, but I have never seen one for sale.
I want to recreate something similar for my bike, using a modern yellow, magnetic battery LED beacon.
This would involve two 6x6 plates to form the base which I can use to sandwich the rear rack bars by butterfly bolting the two of them together. On the top plate I need a @20 pole, above which there would be a round @4 plate to put the magnetic beacon on. It would probably need 2-3 triangular braces top/bottom to reinforce the top/bottom plates to the pole.
Anyone out there with the skills and materials to accept this commission?
