Having gone for a Honda cb500x as my project adv bike I changed several parts and added some tyres. I couldn't afford or justify the Rally raid conversion so went my own way with the modifications.
I put some Continental tk 80 on which worked quite well until it got muddy or rutted. Then the 17 inch front wheel was rubbish.
I spoke to Russell about his with the 19 inch Rally raid front end but he still yearned for a 21 inch front end and unlimited tyre choice.
So I bought some forks and a front wheel of a Transalp after a bit of measuring and head scratching and after a day in the shed....hey presto 21 inch front end.
I have raised the back end by about 30mm and the front is up by 40mm. The extra ground clearance will be useful.
Still have to lengthen the side stand and sort out the brakes and a mud guard but I am pretty sure of success.
I reckon it looks pretty good and the wheel looks like it should be there.
I had to add 4 inch to the side stand
Luggage racks and pannier protection
Phone mount with sun/rain shade.
I spent £850 doing all the mods, have ridden on the road but not down a lane yet, still recovering from shoulder surgery but it feels great on the road.
Cheers Trevor.

Nice work. CB500 yolks? Have you got clearance radiator and exhaust at full travel? Don't wat a dead stop at the first bump.
Standard yolks they were the same diameter, have compressed the front end as far as I can get it with ratchet straps and there is still space for a thin mudguard.
