Hi Mike

Gopro hero 10 mounted on helmet chin

Garmin Montana 700i

Overlays added in software Telemetry Overlay
The software can use the GPS/telemetry data from either GoPro or Garmin and aligns them on gps time stamp.

Titles added in Final Cut Pro.

Took a lot of trial and error to get it all looking ok and camera angle etc

I intend to make one for each lane I ride as a resource

The overlays make this a far better vlog than many others I have seen, congratulations. I am going to have look into getting this kind of thing, but I have a Drift XL so not sure if you need to have a GoPro?

I like that big orange arrow in the foreground that attempts to predict where you are going (-;

Hi Andy

i dont believe the Drift  XL logs GPS data. What you could do is log the GPS data on a Garmin or other GPS that records then manually aligning in the software. But its more of a faff. A secondhand GoPro 8 or better might be a good choice.

Thanks for all the info Andy very useful indeed. It makes a big difference and worth the work as its makes it really interesting as well as the riding. Some clips over the internet are a bit like going through someone's wedding photos if you aren't careful so a refreshing change

 I was thinking could I get the GPS history from my mobile phone perhaps? I know Google Maps and Outdoor Active both track your location confuse

Any GPX log data can be aligned manually in the software.
