Tyre reccomendations

Apologies if been asked before, I did try a search

I would like to buy new tyres for my recently purchased Crf250rx

I have seen Michelin Anakee Wild tyres, are these any good. I am recently sitting in Borilli racing soft endure tyre on the rear and the road ride home was awful so I am hoping it is the trye

Pic below is the current rear tyre. Assuming this contributed to the bumpy ride home

There will be alot of different views but my favorite is the Maxxis IT Pro intermediate as its a great tyre for all round. The one you have has big blocks and large gaps which on smaller bikes dont really work unless it Enduro etc. MT43 is a popular tyre but really a trials tyre so for me no good as it lacks side grip. Michelin trackers rear is a decent tyre but like all tyres with that pattern will wear alot faster. WILDs are road big bike 60 road based really and will soon become blocked with mud

What you have fitted would work well in deep mud. Awful otherwise.

What you are thinking of would be ok for high speed motorway and light gravel (but not good for either) and cheap for a reason

Met more riders than I can count who found to their embarassment that the enduro tyre they swear works 'everywhere' doesn't grip Devon slate, at all, ever.

Most who ride away from tarmac in Devon use trials tyres, with possibly a soft compound aggressive knobbly on the front.

Trials front and rear for me since the Bridgestone Gritty ED661 front tyre was discontinued (I had worn out half dozen and was sad to see it gone with no replacement).

If you can afford it go for soft compound. I believe it is worth spending as much on rubber per mile as I do petrol for the excellent grip afforded.

Pirelli MT43 are the typical compromise seen most commomnly

Maxxis M7313 front and MT43 on the rear, mid devon where I live lanes mainly rock and stone so this is my ideal setup.
