The training day is going live. £95 per person, max 10 riders, first come first served basis
The rider training event will be hosted by trainers Dean Allan and Rom Dobbs. The event is open to all TRF members and is being organised by the Devon TRF and will take place at Hazelwood Farm, Nr Maldon starting at 09:30 on Sat 16th August and ending around 4.00pm
During this training event, TRF members will be led by experienced trainers and instructed on typical scenarios and differing types of challenging situations a rider may face when perusing the pastime. Riding activities may involve encountering challenging situations, including physically demanding motorcycle operation in varying terrain conditions i.e. obstacles to overcome and mechanical issues through to emergency response to injury, physiological issues like cold being wet or dealing with heat. There are instances where these situations can be exciting, fun and ultimately safe so long as riders have the right skills sets, knowledge and awareness to address these challenging situations in a reasoned and controlled manner. The purpose of this event is to further develop and improve TRF members riding skills and give them the confidence to enjoy the pastime and continue to hone their skills.
The event will be open to a maximum of 10 trainees
All trainees will be adults over the age of 18
The training is designed to target riders new to trail riding and intermediate level ability
The training activity will start at 9.30am and finish at 4pm
Participants will be expected to wear suitable protective clothing. Helmet and proper motorcycle boots essential; body armour to back, shoulders, elbows and knees should be worn.
There are no catering facilities on site, so participants will need to bring their own packed lunch and snacks and plenty to drink for the day. There is a toilet on site.
Anyone taking part in the training can camp overnight at no additional cost on the Saturday night in order to take part in the Funday on the Sunday, admission to the fun day is £20 if booked through Event bright (insert link) and £30 on the day
