Green road clearing week Wednesday 30/7/25

Jack D & myself will be attending 'Ullacombe lane" 192-010 at 6pm Wednesday 30/7/25 East Devon S.E. of Smeatharp, much debated lane in the past, with tons of involvement (one way or another) from the Devon group...

DCC PRoW spent some monies on the green road at the lower end about 3 yrs ago, so it would be a shame if no one uses the public right of way, they have also sent out contractors to clear this road before, wardens have changed their areas around since then so its not established wether thats going to happen. I know one rambler who would be pleased to see it cut back wink

Green road clearing week Wednesday 30/7/25 at 6pm, meeting at the Western end, I believe there is parking there on the road side.

Mainly strimming the long foliage but I reckon there will be hedge trimming to be completed, all welcome, state your intentions here with a reply then I can gauge the volunteering on the response received - IE if you think this volunteering will be oversubscribed then I can direct volunteers to another green road that needs sorting/clearing, we're short on volunteers not short on green roads to clear

Please could someone reply to say they have posted this on Face book, my time on FB these days is very occasional if not at all - Thanks

Huge thanks Wacky smile

I have history with this one. The main problem vegetation has been Himalayan balsam hopefully we can catch it before the seed for next year is released. See you on Wednesday
