UCR report for Devon county

Just compiling my survey report winter 2025/26 for Devon county on Sidmouth's UCR's, anything you/we should be adding......

GRM 5271 192-127, trimming needed on the northern end just over the ridge

5375 192-244, digger to level out the centre rut? or cast up on banks but farmer won't allow this

      5290 192- 149, all good

5374 192-243, bit rutted but cool to ride unless you want the rut levelled out

5270 192- 126 easements need clearing, bit rutted in places, repairs washing out a little at the western end

5262 needs cutting back, all tarmac road

5296 all gravel and good to go

5263 all good, bit washed at the Eastern end but all rideable

      17529 possibly a trim needed

5425  192-341 all good, ditch cleaned out recently winter 2025, cut back early spring of 2025, successful bid for new concrete 2025 budget

5241 plyford farm, all good really, fallen tree dealt with by Wacky & family in 2025

      5396 192-271, all good

There is talk from other users on certain UCR's not suitable for walking, linking in these green roads with the footpath network....

It would be good if we could put pressure on DCC, the RSPB and Aggregate Industries to resolve the drainage issues arising from the site of the poorly restored Venn Ottery quarry, the bridle path that skirts the old quarry has been taken out and GRM 5259 is unusable for all users for large parts of the year. A coordinated approach with the ramblers and horse riders is likely to carry more weight.
