Small Sized Green Laner!

Can anyone give me some advice on a small framed and lighter bike please? I've been looking at the Yamaha TW or the Suzuki Van Van, with thoughts to modify both a little. I've had a XR 250 and loved that bike but it was a little heavy after i dropped it, normally in a hedge! Any ideas? Thanks, Phil.
