Hi all, We have been asked if we can provide a couple of riders to help out around east hill for this locally organised but nationally recognised marathon event. They already have 260 entrants, and are expecting 300 or so. Timing is 11am til 4pm, more details to follow. Check the link below for more inf...
Went for a spin down the Teign using the long sloping ridge lanes with splendid views over the river. Crossing the river bridge and the town beyond a concrete ford led to the next lane where a deeper ford precedes a steep rocky climb. A long lane took me to a another stringing down the hill. At the end of the...
I've got the chance to buy a very clean 2000 exc smoker. Just wondering if anybody has owned one? What are they like to ride? How do they compare to more modern 2 stokes? Cheers mark
Is there a good time of year to buy a decent second-hand bike haha? Sold the beta XTrainer last year and fancy a change from the 4 stroke husky. Managed to save some monnies enduro news has a few advertised miles away and eBay is a minefield!
My Daughter found this in our garden and would be thrilled it it could be identified . . but I don't have a clue! Judging by the piece we have, it would be about 10-12 inches in diameter - if it is a full cog, might be part of a back 'n' forth mechanism rather than a round 'n' round? It's a whopping 1 inch thick an...
Having lived in Devon near Okehampton for 2 years I went for an exploratory ride on my road bike. I rode up past the Okehampton Camp and kept following what looked like the main tarmac road. There were non asphalt roads everywhere many of which are shown on the OS map as "other" road. I didn't see any prohi...
One of the South Wests premier enduro tracks is now even better. We have added a large open field to the venue. This means that in addition to the technical woods riding, the fast fire tracks, the steep ascents and descents, and a stream run, there is now the opportunity to have a blast around the fields a...
Two strokes in the drizzle Only one other rider replied to the post amongst the runs/rides out on the forum and Sparkie86 was waiting when I arrived to fuel up. His orange 300 two smoke complemented my red 250 stroker perfectly and we puttered along 202-028 carefully crossing the road part way before a...
I didn't offer to lead a ride out of the goodness of my heart, it was just a ploy to get someone else to come along to open and close all of the gates on the moorland lanes I wanted to ride. Five riders names went on the list of unwitting gate volunteers and four turned up at the appointed hour. We did wait 15 min...
Here's a short video taken at the event organized by Col at the end of April 2017 at Combe Sydenham. There were two small groups lucky enough to get training from the RAF Enduro Team and top riders from the Somerset TRF. I booked too late and "only" got to ride the forset all day with a few others in warm, d...

http://www.whitehorsewoodburysalterton.co.uk/ Off the A3052 east of Crealy. A social gathering for the east devon folk who like to talk about all things bike. Turn up after 7.30pm someone will always be there. Turn up even earlier and enjoy the very good food on offer.
Hopefully one of the admin will pick up on this. Simon is a friend who is a paid up member of the Devon TRF. He has tried a few times, e mailed etc, but still cant access the forum. Not certain he is doing something wrong or if there is a problem. Please can someone have a look - no panic. Thanks
