Needed is a replacement front Nissin caliper and carrier for an XR400 but I believe they are the same item for XR250's and indead DRZ400's and maybe even WR400's. If you have one "knocking around" ther...

Do you know ayone who makes a digital speedo, with a low fuel warning light incorparated. It seems that the trail tech /acewell e.t.c all have a level indicator gauge, which is not what I want. My sherco is fuel injected and I just want a setup as the original was,in that when the fuel gets to reserve/l...
Renewal time, I get a renewal letter, a years NCB and 3 points higher than last year, same price as last year. So I go onto compare the Meerkats, they are more expensive, I try confused.com, they are £70 cheaper with the same insurer. I ring the insurer, was told that she cannot match the online discount t...

Ok i know its an open invitation to have a multiple answer to this thread but here goes....... I've recently fitted a new o'ring 520 'D.I.D" Ktm 450 on 13 front teeth 48 rear (shouldn't make much difference with gearing) Yep i know its a pretty full on bike but i ride steady (90% of the time ) I've onl...
Austin Vince reckoned a Serow, TTR or DRZ ie Air cooled with long service intervals electric and kick start (try and bump a bike in sand!) and light enough to lift on a pick up truck. Seems to me there's a lack of choice for 100kg plus riders who want a motor with more grunt for the lanes and road sections tha...
Regular readers may have seen that Dave, our East Devon bike repair guru, has undergone a major heart operation recently. The bloke that works for him (Mark) 'phoned today & told me that Dave is now out of intensive care and into a side ward. He has also started complaining so it sounds as though h...
Well Troy is already making the CFR70 look small and to be honest at nearly 11 I want to get him started on a full manual rather than his semi-auto he has right now. Most 2-smoke 65s seem a little small so it looks like an 85 small wheel might be next. I'm a little concerned about some of these being far to f...
Who has bought themself a newish bike lately then? I wonder who it could be And what lane is it going on firstHe tells me it is too pretty to get dirty
Have to admit I love riding off road but on a beautiful day like today you'll find it hard to beat taking a "classic" out for a ride on quiet rural roads. This is my 1997 Triumph Daytona T595, she's only allowed out on dry days. For me there is no competition, my dirt bike is fantastic and so is m...
Doing my T2T run this week and everythings planned with a view to stopping for lunch at the mad Scotmans beach hut on South Milton Sands - http://www.rockys-cafe.co.uk/. However last time we were out riding (3 weeks ago) it was still being renovated for summer. We drove down in the car a week later, st...
Did this last week, starting to look all colourful. Goes from just below my knee to my ankle, most painful mid shin. not broken just a hard squeeze I think. Just goes to show badgers can bite hard from time to time. Not sure exactly how I did it as wasn't painful at the time but I think I caught it between the...
Anyone know of a place to hire a cheap minibus in/near Exeter to be driven to Plymouth and back at a weekend, possibly same day? Online prices are mental... Not looking for something massive, just to carry as many passengers as I can with a "normal" car licence. Thanks
Hi I've worked out how to post video and pics from Photobucket. Is it POSSIBLE to post pics that are stored on my pc without having to load them to Photobucket ect? Please answer: YES, NO or Don't Know I can do it easily on Facebook and another Forum I belong to. Cheers, Rob. -- Edited by Rob B on Sunday 27th o...

Not sure who keeps these. Popped into Greenlanes today for a new front tyre, and John mentioned he was out of leaflets. He also said he was getting a lot of interest in the trailbikes he'd had recently, and was pointing people towards the forum. I'm sure the leaflets would come in handy. If you want t...
The KTM (EXC250F Racing) insurance renewal has just appeared, and has nearly doubled. Previously I had a silly quote for the 748, so added the mothballed 1986 VFR to the policy and it halved it, but I'm struggling to find any companies that will cover the KTM at all as it doesn't have an ignition key. I'm...
