Hi, we're thinking of doing a trip to the Picos in October/Nov, chucking the bikes on the back of the pickup and sailing over on the Santander ferry from Plymouth. Anybody done the Picos? Any advice most welcome!

I never seen or heard of a VOR being used in trail bike trim. Seen a few SM used in hillclimbing a few years back. Are they unreliable or expensive to run or a spares isue.
You hear so much about benefit cheats who get everything paid for them and free cars etc and I just wonder how they get it all. Just applied for a benefit as I can't walk much anymore and got turned down even after an (expensive to me) medical where the Doctor accepted that I'm a cripple and I'm gonna get wor...

A question arose on tuesday night, which parralels the age old question about the universe and everything How did Pearcy manage to get up on a recycling bin in the first place to be able to fall off it? so far it was either his boy gave him a leg up or he laid all the kids on the ground and used them as a ramp to...
Finally talked my freind around to getting proper bike Took him out 2day for the 1st time. Alot of lanes were covered without drama until on one road section he was caught out abit, a combination of imense KTM power and a greasy road surface. I just heard some shouting, turn round to see the bike come roun...

OK, before you read any further, it's not for me. Honest! Where's a good local place to buy a used road legal and relatively low-powered quad that can be used for green laning? Cheap to run/maintain/insure a definate requirement. Make unimportant, more important is cheap relaible fun. I know not...
My quad will not tick over or start when hot. It starts fine first thing ticks over for 30 seconds, starts to splutter dark smoke from exhaust and stops. Had to adjust it to tick over real fast to keep it going. When throttle is open bike goes well no dark smoke. It's as if the choke is on but it's not. Any hel...

Just had an argument with my Honda whilst riding 202-033 and ended up with a broken collar bone. (must say many thanks to Brownie and Shaggy for looking after me!) Being self-employed will now cause a few probs. I know there are many "general" accident insurances out there and I have to say t...
I've yet to know the lanes well enough to lead but wondered if other folk also woke early and fancied riding some none too close to properties lanes such that a three hour ride out in south devon could be done and dusted (or mud scraped) by midday on a Saturday in the coming weeks? Autumnal thoughts. I can...
Saw this on the tube and thought it was very interesting. I don't think it's a trail anywhere in Devon though. Martyn -- Edited by brownie on Thursday 2nd of September 2010 10:08:16 PM
