OK, before you read any further, it's not for me. Honest! Where's a good local place to buy a used road legal and relatively low-powered quad that can be used for green laning? Cheap to run/maintain/insure a definate requirement. Make unimportant, more important is cheap relaible fun. I know not...
My quad will not tick over or start when hot. It starts fine first thing ticks over for 30 seconds, starts to splutter dark smoke from exhaust and stops. Had to adjust it to tick over real fast to keep it going. When throttle is open bike goes well no dark smoke. It's as if the choke is on but it's not. Any hel...

Just had an argument with my Honda whilst riding 202-033 and ended up with a broken collar bone. (must say many thanks to Brownie and Shaggy for looking after me!) Being self-employed will now cause a few probs. I know there are many "general" accident insurances out there and I have to say t...
I've yet to know the lanes well enough to lead but wondered if other folk also woke early and fancied riding some none too close to properties lanes such that a three hour ride out in south devon could be done and dusted (or mud scraped) by midday on a Saturday in the coming weeks? Autumnal thoughts. I can...
Saw this on the tube and thought it was very interesting. I don't think it's a trail anywhere in Devon though. Martyn -- Edited by brownie on Thursday 2nd of September 2010 10:08:16 PM
When challenged riding a lane on the TRF database you will be able to say that you ride on the basis that 1.There is no sign saying you should not. IE; no Traffic Regulation Order signage displayed prohibiting vehicular traffic. 2.The way is not recorded on the Definitive Map as either a Footpath,Brid...
I had heard rumours that G.T. was going to be up for sale but it's been a while since I've been there. Just been onto White's website and their front page is plastered in news of new openings. Saw one that looked very, very familiar to G.T. with pictures of Hutchy and Steve McGuiness from the IoM TT, Tommy H...
Right anyone got any idea's what could be causing my problem.... When riding the Xr 400 at around 40/50kmh on the road its front wheels feels like an egg is inside the tyre?? Ive checked it when off the ground and its as you would expect a tyre to be. Anything lower of higher speed than the 40/50 its fine aga...
Dont know why I'm even mentioning this tbh but I'm strangely proud of my FIRST badger! Dont get me wrong, I've dropped it a couple of times and seen plenty of squirrels but this time I went straight over the handle bars after mis-judging the action of the bike/rear wheel coming down a bank and hitting a p...
The Cornwall Trail Riders Fellowship have been organising Disability Sponsored Forest Trail Rides, in association with the charity organisation Phab, in Forestry Commission woodlands for some time now. For the first time ever the event is coming to Cardinham Woods on Sunday 10th October. This y...
As you know, my Urban was becoming too much of a hassle and so a new bike was quite urgently needed. After much deliberation and discussion with my parents, I've settled on my new bike. Unfortunately, it's not an enduro. It is a Yamaha though so I must get some DTRF points back for that? The TTR250 and the D...
Does anyone have contact details for the above? I want to enter the H and H in Newton Abbot in september, but having trouble finding the details. cheers.
Does anyone know of anywhere that allows people to take a non road legal trials bike to play / practice on? Woods / Quarries / Friendly farmers? I know about Muddy Wheels in North Devon which is great but it's about an hour and a half from me in Plymouth.
Can any riding gods out there help. Just had a great day at Haccadown. When taking some of the small jumps the bike tends to land nose first which can be disconcerting. Had a similar conversation with Geoff who experienced similar. Tried a bit more rebound damping on the rear which did help a bit but in re...
